My name is Martha, and I am currently a senior at Harvard College, where I am taking a course entitled “Class and Culture.” One of my assignments for this course involved compiling a journal of my thoughts on various things I came across during the semester that stood out to me as class-related- while referencing some of the material covered of course! I thought doing this as a blog would be interesting, so here you are- my virtual journal!
Unfortunately this is the first time I have ever used a blog, so it actually appears as though I typed everything up today because I didn’t think to officially publish my posts today from the Word files I had been writing along the way or account for dates on those drafts! 😦 (Oh well- the overall message is the same, so the times when I wrote them will remain ambiguous!)
In regards to the actual postings themselves, you will find a range of topics, such as dancing, education, and politics, as well as inspirations, including magazine articles, movies, and experiences from my own life. There are links to a lot of things, which I would encourage you to check out if you are interested! Since WordPress has a cool feature that shows you a mini-shot of the websites linked, I refrained from including other images. I did however think it would be fun to have my own little trademark, so since I am a big fan of cartoons, each posting has one! If you click on them, you will be directed to the website. Not the most traditional or professional way of referencing a source, but I figured it would make it easier for you as the reader!
If you have questions, comments, or concerns about anything you find here, leave a comment, and I will check it whenever I log in! (I can’t promise that will be often after I get back the grade from my professor, so don’t hold your breath!)
